Poussière d’étoile – in production

What remains alive when the whole world has turned to stone?

In a retro-futuristic Montreal with the look of Metropolis, the capitalist machine has literally petrified its inhabitants. The population, transformed into men and women of stone, wanders the subway corridors—mute, blind, seemingly without emotion—waiting to be summoned to perform their daily grind.

In this morbid stagnation, a burst of color erupts. Agnès, a bright and vibrant young girl, speeds through the streets at a hundred miles an hour on her scooter. Catching sight of a ray of sunlight piercing the city’s thick fog, Agnès lets herself be carried away by the memory of warmth and the desire to truly feel it. Her capacity to dream and her inner strength are so great that she transforms and flies off, beyond the clouds, to touch that dream with her fingertips.

In a world that reduces everyone to insignificance, like specks of dust, Agnès remembers, for one fleeting moment, what she truly is: a speck of stardust carrying within her a light that nothing will ever manage to turn to stone.
